Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis, subsp israelensis) has long been regarded as the key active ingredient in public health programmes to eradicate mosquito-borne diseases. It produces a highly specific endotoxin that is toxic to the larvae of mosquitoes. At the same time it is not harmful to non-target organisms and quickly degrades in the environment.
Granular Products have taken this highly effective and specific active ingredient and formulated a granule that maximises efficiencies in application. Being a granule, it does not require mixing prior to application, reducing worker exposure as well as minimising preparation time. The granule has the highest bulk density currently available, so a greater volume can be carried per load. This reduces the loading time and maximises the area covered per load, both reducing costs.
